General Information
As far as bolt patterns go, there are two basic types, Buick, Olds, Pontiac, Cadillac, and everyone else (eg. Chevy). This is actually a blessing in disguise, as it makes the Chevy TH-400's more expensive (the only item) than the BOPC TH-400. The TH-400 also comes in two lengths, short shaft (Chevy) and long shaft (everyone else). There are also uni-pattern (both) for automatics. Uni-pattern housings have been found in vehicles with locking converters. One thing you might want to do for the winter months is pick up the book The Turbo 400 Transmission, by HP Books.
